Hilton Hotel Downtown -- Omaha
The NCDAA fall seminar, Bookends: Openings and Closings, will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the downtown Hilton Hotel in Omaha. Once again Don Fiedler has put together an excellent, exciting and innovative program that will teach you the most effective ways to present your case through opening statements and closing argument.
NEW INNOVATIONS:
Andrea George, Chief of Litigation in the Minneapolis Federal Defender's Office and NCDC Faculty, is an expert on utilizing PowerPoint in the courtroom. We will learn how to incorporate PowerPoint in Opening Statements and Closing Arguments, so that the technology will enhance the theory of innocence.
CLASSIC APPROACHES:
Our other speaker is Keith Belzer from La Crosse, Wisconsin. Keith was recently featured in the A&E Documentary: "Facing Life: The Retrial of Evan Zimmerman". Keith is one of the anchors of the NCDC Faculty and one of the rising stars on the criminal defense lecture circuit.
The full day seminar will devote the morning to Openings with the last hour featuring some of NCDAA's finest giving snippets of Openings that demonstrate a variety of oratorical devices. The afternoon will be devoted to Closing Arguments with additional demonstrations.
The Registration Form is now available.
